Overview: FortisAlberta distributes electricity over 107,000 kilometers of power lines to 453,500 customers across plains and mountains that are buried in snow one-third of the year. When they needed to reduce risk and improve business technology availability, continuity and disaster recovery, they turned to HP.
This was accomplished by upgrading their Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 to 2007 and running it on new HP ProLiant server blades with HP EVA storage. Their HP Services implementation included support of Microsoft Unified Messaging and integration design for Cisco CallManager telephony. Read this case study for the details.
